When I wrote about some of the difficult transits tied to Uranus in Taurus back in 2021, I still had so much hope. Here in the final moments and critical degrees of this transit, I look at the “Big Beautiful Bill” in current debate, and the National Parks employees leading one of our biggest and most important rebellions in the country. I’m also reflecting on the expansion of the Land Back movement over the past several years. If you still have Netflix, I recommend watching Yintah, because it is exactly the energy we need right now! For folks in Wisconsin, please watch Bad River, it was produced by the same folks who created one of my favorite shows Reservation Dogs. The things European settlers aiming for land grabs did before, are happening again. They have evolved and reincarnated. We’re entering an era once Uranus leaves Taurus, where our most valuable asset is critical thinking. So when I read about ICE and immigration, and wars, and oil, and crime, etc…I try to look at who is in power and who is being controlled/removed, and how money is made from it. Look at this article written by the UN in 2019, and this analysis of Iran prepared by the US last year. There is no true consideration for the safety of the people, health of the land, only resource extraction. Not to mention these are clearly written from an audacious lens of centralized power.
As we enter July’s astrology, we are now at the point of no return. I recommend watching this video from Articulating History to digest this reincarnated moment in our current events.
Historically Uranus in Taurus would correspond with major shifts in how societies interacted with the Earth. Agriculture, land ownership, and early economic systems became crucial to the development of cities and empires. In non-egalitarian eras centralization of power coincided with the rise of centralized authority; whether in the form of monarchies or city-states. Controlling economic and resource management were key to maintaining this power. Cultural revolutions, disruptions in societal norms, new ideas about land, wealth, and governance began to form.
Examples of Uranus in Taurus Throughout History

1850–1859 CE
Height of the Industrial Revolution, with transformative technological advancements like the steam engine to aid in clearing coal mines. The exponential rise of massive industrial capitalism via manufacturing. Tensions arise in the US over exploiting human beings for unpaid labor.

Non-native and industrialized farming practices devastated the soil of the United States and created a dust bowl. Today’s Uranus in Taurus
2018–2026 CE
Although insane amounts of consumption have hit their highest level I believe possible. People have also become more invested in understanding practices to regenerate and develop relationships with the soil, climate change became more urgent to focus on, the nutrition density of our food structure becomes important to revisit, farmers and land stewards are at the forefront, and carbon sink importance has become apparent. Humanity begins to deconstruct the long history of centralized control. Land ownership and control of resources will either become further centralized under the wealthy, or we work to integrate different practices (think Land Back). People begin to question the systemic use of time and money, the corporal body is under threat of ownership by imprisonment/enslavement worldwide, and work to de-colonize what it means to be ‘rich’ emerges. A rise in the interest of gardening, herbalism, foraging, and permaculture.
Payment systems greatly change with people moving to apps, tap to pay. As well as the discontinuation of the penny (created with mineral copper) announced. The autonomy over how the body is expressed is being fought for. As well as the care of the body.
While the stars offer support for progress, the ultimate outcome depends on how each individual person uses this last moment of the Uranus in Taurus to enact change for our collective future.
Key characteristics of Uranus in Taurus involve agricultural innovation with major shifts in how societies interacted with all things earth, land, food, mineral or soil related. Agriculture, land ownership, and economic systems gave way to the development of CENTRALIZED cities and STRUCTURED empires.
Uranus in Taurus often coincides throughout history with the rise of centralized authority, whether in the form of monarchies or city-states. Economic and resource management were key to maintaining this power. Throughout history, this period often saw disruptions in societal norms via philosophy about land, wealth, and governance.
These periods saw formation of early systems of land ownership, trade, and resource management, laying the foundations for future economies. The key here is the focus shifted to money and acquiring, not the autonomy of the human body and connection to natural resources.
Your work for the final moments of this transit is to determine how this has impacted your own life. Make the connections and help us move towards something better.
Do you know where your food comes from or what goes into making something grow? How about the spending we’re seeing on weapons to conquer more land and resources, instead of caring for existing bodies?
Do you know someone who was sent to war on behalf of corporations and their body was altered forever? I think of a friend of mine who was in the Marine Corps and she saw things like brand new printers arriving at their camp being thrown into burn pits because their camps didn’t know what to do with the excess amount of wasteful things that were sent to them. Her lungs and esophagus are forever damaged.
Do you know someone who had to move from an area or country because of finances, safety issues, destabilization of their government, or pollution having an impact on the natural elements in their location? What is your family’s migration story?
Or maybe you know an immigrant who was welcomed here because we needed help, but then they were exploited to pay fees for years to get their application processed (most Mexicans I know have waited over 20 years). Wouldn’t a more productive way to deal with that be to hire enough clerks and judges to process those applications, rather than deputizing prison guards and militias to kidnap and traffic those people overseas?
We also need to look at the foundation of this country. The financiers of these fronts, their vision, how we can follow the money to see who is invested, and determine how to redistribute that wealth and land back to the people for future preservation. I’ll discuss this much more in my Uranus in Gemini article this weekend.
Since we’ve officially entered Cancer season and the United States is a Cancer, I want to leave you with one last video to watch here. I promise it is very relevant to this topic, if you are paying attention. I have said it many times, and I will say it again. Our ‘founding fathers’ were astrologers.
